Keyword research services that pick
searches you can win

Most keyword plans are a spreadsheet somebody built once and nobody trusts. TuBe SEO's keyword research services run on live data: volume, difficulty, click value and intent on every term. One term becomes hundreds. Two of your own pages never chase the same search.

Lever 1 of 5

Where does SEO keyword research fit in the five levers?

TuBe SEO moves a site up Google by pulling five levers, in order, and SEO keyword research is the first. It decides whether the other four are worth pulling: aim at a search you cannot win and no amount of writing, fixing or link building rescues it.

  • 1. Find keywords you can actually winThis page. Live numbers on every term, winnable ones first.
  • 2. Build pages that deserve to rankSEO content writing. Full articles that answer the search, not 400 words of filler.
  • 3. Fix what stops Google reading the siteTechnical SEO for the under-the-hood problems, and on-page SEO for the pages you already have.
  • 4. Earn backlinks and press coverageLink building and digital PR. Real websites vouching for you. Still the strongest signal there is.
  • 5. Protect the rankings you already havePage-one pages are marked protected and never rewritten by the software. How that rule works.
In plain English Picking the right searches is the cheapest decision in SEO and the most expensive one to get wrong.

The numbers

What do keyword research services actually give you?

TuBe SEO's keyword research services return four numbers on every term: how many people search it, how hard it is to outrank the sites already there, what advertisers pay for a click, and whether the searcher wants to learn or buy. One term expands into hundreds, grouped by the pages that already rank.

In plain English Before anybody writes anything, we know how many people want this, how hard it is to get, and what it is worth.

Search volume

How many people search the term each month. The number everybody anchors on first, and the one that starts fights you cannot win.

Difficulty

How entrenched the sites already ranking are. If volume is the prize, difficulty is the price tag.

Click value

What advertisers pay for one click on the term. Nobody bids real money on a search that never turns into a customer.

Buyer intent

Whether the searcher wants to learn, compare or buy. Intent decides what kind of page the term deserves.

Grouping turns a keyword list into a plan. Terms are grouped by which pages currently rank for them, a far better guide than whether the words look alike.

One starting term, expanded
how long does [service] take3,600/moeasy · informational
[service] cost calculator2,400/moeasy · commercial
best [service] for older homes1,900/momoderate · commercial
[service] vs [alternative]880/momoderate · commercial
[service] near me12,100/mohard · transactional

Illustrative rows, easiest first. The biggest number sits at the bottom on purpose: hardest term, last thing this site should write.

One list, used everywhere. Article briefs, on-page targets, AI questions and link prospecting all pick keywords from the same data. One list, one set of numbers, one sort order.

Rank tracking

What is striking distance, and why does it matter?

Striking distance is the filter that turns a rankings list into a work queue: the keywords sitting at positions 5 to 20, one push from page one. TuBe SEO's rank tracking checks positions continuously and keeps the full history. These are the cheapest wins on any site, and most sites are sitting on dozens.

In plain English A page at number 11 is nearly there, and nudging it onto page one beats starting a new page from nothing.

Positions 5 to 20

Improve something you already own before building something new

A brand-new page starts with nothing: no history, no relevance, no links. A page at position 11 already has all three. That is the whole economic case. The band stops at 20 because past that, the page is usually wrong for the search.

  • The page already exists and Google already knows it. You are improving an asset, not building one
  • Moving a keyword from 12 to 5 costs a fraction of ranking a new page, and pays back sooner
  • History separates a keyword that slid from 6 to 14 from one stuck at 14. Opposite responses
  • Striking-distance rows feed the on-page queue, where the page gets read against the pages beating it

Competitors

How do we find the searches your rivals win and you do not?

TuBe SEO looks at the websites that actually show up for your keywords, pulls the terms they rank for, subtracts everything you already own, and grades what is left by winnability. Not a dump of everything a competitor ranks for. The shortlist your site could realistically take, in order.

In plain English We list the searches your rivals win and you do not, sorted by which ones you could take first.

Your competitors are whoever shows up in the results for your keywords, not whoever got named on the kickoff call.

Who you actually compete with

Often a national publisher or a directory, not the business down the road. You do not beat a directory the way you beat a rival contractor.

Gaps, not a data dump

Everything you already rank for is subtracted before you see the list. What survives is only what a rival owns and you do not.

Straight into the queue

A graded gap is a brief in waiting: keyword, intent, group, and the pages currently winning it. It moves into writing or on-page work with no second round of research.

The differentiator

What is keyword cannibalization, and how is it blocked?

Keyword cannibalization is two of your own pages going after the same search, so Google cannot tell which to rank and both do worse. TuBe SEO keeps a register of every keyword your site targets, across published articles, planned titles and 1,000 or more existing pages. A second page on a claimed keyword is refused.

In plain English One search, one page: the second one never gets written, so there is no mess to clean up later.

Checked before a word is written

One main keyword, one page

The register is not a report. It sits in the way: a claim that collides with an existing one does not go through. That removes the most avoidable problem in content work: four pages about the same thing, built because nobody had the full list.

  • Three layers: published articles, planned titles, and every page found by crawling your site
  • A blocked claim hands back the unclaimed terms on the same subject, easiest first
  • One main keyword, one page. Two pages can share a subject. They cannot claim the same search
  • Kept separate per client, so an agency's registers never bleed between businesses

Illustrative interface. The block is a hard stop in the write path, not a warning banner somebody can dismiss.

Almost every other tool detects this. This one prevents it. Detection means an audit tells you, months later, that four pages are fighting over one search, and now three must be merged or deleted with rankings at risk. Prevention means the second page was never written. The same rule marks page-one pages PROTECTED: the cheapest ranking to save is the one you never break.

This matters for AI answers too. Two half-authoritative pages are worse than one page that clearly owns the topic. See how AI visibility is measured

Google Search Console

What does Google Search Console add?

Google Search Console is Google's own report on your website, and it holds the one thing no outside tool can estimate: what your pages actually did inside Google. TuBe SEO reads it for three things: searches where Google already shows you, pages clicked less than their position deserves, and new searches you are starting to appear for.

In plain English Every other tool estimates; this is Google telling you what really happened.

Shown a lot, clicked rarely

Google already puts the page in front of people, but the clicks are low. Turning impressions into clicks is a smaller job than earning relevance from scratch. The closest thing to found money in the data.

Titles nobody clicks

A page sitting at four that gets clicked like a page at nine has a listing problem, not a ranking problem. The fix is the title and the description, not another thousand words.

New searches

Terms your site has only just started appearing for. They reveal how Google reads a page and surface demand no keyword tool suggested, including the words your buyers actually use.

Search Console is connected with your permission, per client, and used only for your reporting and prioritization. Full detail on data handling lives in the privacy policy.

Downstream

How does keyword research feed the rest of the work?

The keyword list is the record of what your site targets, what it ranks for and what must never be duplicated. Four other parts of the TuBe SEO service read from it directly: article briefs, the on-page queue, the questions we put to AI assistants, and link prospecting.

In plain English The research does not sit in a report; it is the instruction sheet for everything we do next.

Article briefs

Every article starts from a claimed keyword with its volume, difficulty, intent and topic group attached.

On-page targets

Flagged pages are prioritized by volume and distance from target position. Striking distance is where the queue starts.

Questions for AI

Your keywords become the questions buyers ask an assistant. A person approves each one before sampling spends money.

Link prospecting

Prospecting and topic scoring read your keyword list, so outreach targets sites that matter for your terms.

Research becomes published pages

A graded gap or a striking-distance row is a brief in waiting. The content side turns it into a 3,000 to 5,000 word article, scored against 33 checks before a human reads it. On-page work takes the other route: the existing page gets read against the pages beating it.

The same terms, measured in AI answers

The keywords you track in Google become the questions we put to 6 answer engines: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode. Your rankings and your AI mentions describe the same business. Link prospecting reads the same list.

TuBe SEO has no partnership with, affiliation with, or privileged access to any of these services. Each one is sampled from the outside, the way a customer meets it. Product names and logos belong to their respective owners and appear here only to identify what is being measured.

And it all lands in one report. Rankings, AI citations, articles and links in one client-ready view with CSV export, every call cost-logged to your account. How we measure and report

Straight answers

Keyword research and rank tracking questions we get asked most

Where does TuBe SEO's keyword data come from?

Two sources, kept apart on purpose. Live search data: monthly searches, difficulty, click price and intent, pulled fresh rather than exported last quarter. And Google Search Console: the only dataset reporting what your pages actually did in Google. TuBe SEO uses each for what it is honest at.

Why sort keywords by how easy they are instead of by search volume?

Because volume is the demand and difficulty is the bill, and only one of those is a plan. The 12,000-a-month phrase in most markets is held by sites with ten years of links behind them. Every keyword picker in TuBe SEO reads the same list, easiest first, so the next move is always winnable. Big terms stay in the list, reachable later.

What if my site genuinely needs two pages on similar topics?

TuBe SEO blocks a second page for a keyword that is already taken, not for a topic that looks similar. A buying guide and a cost breakdown deserve separate pages, as long as each claims its own main keyword. A blocked claim hands back the unclaimed terms on that subject, easiest first. One main keyword, one page.

How is striking distance different from ordinary rank tracking?

Rank tracking tells you where every keyword sits. Striking distance turns that list into a work queue: the keywords at positions 5 to 20, one push from page one. Those pages are already in Google and already carry links, so improving one costs a fraction of a new page. Full history means a keyword that slid from 6 to 14 looks different from one stuck at 14.

Can I export the keyword and ranking data, or does it stay locked in the platform?

It exports. Rankings, AI citations, articles and links roll into one client-ready view with CSV export. Nothing TuBe SEO builds holds a client hostage to the interface. White-label agencies get the same export for each of their clients.
