Competitor analysis
Name a competitor's website and see the keywords it ranks for on Google, and where your own site stands on each one.
When to use it. When you know who you lose customers to and want to see the searches they win.
Your call. A comparison only reads search data. Nothing changes on your website.
How it works
- Type a competitor's website, like rival-roofing.com, and choose Compare. Competitors TuBe has already found show up as suggestions.
- TuBe lists the keywords that site ranks for in Google's top 30, the most searched first, with where you stand on each. It takes a minute or two.
- Use the tabs to see the keywords you don't rank for yet, the ones they rank higher for, or all of them.
- Choose Write next to a keyword to start an article for it.
What you see on the page
- Ranks for N keywords, M of them yours too: How many keywords the competitor ranks for, and how many of those your site ranks for as well.
- They rank #N: The competitor's position on Google for that keyword.
- You don't rank yet: Keywords they rank for where your site doesn't show up. Usually the best place to start.
- They rank higher: Keywords you both rank for, with them ahead.
- You both rank, You're on page 1, Open field: In the All tab: you rank past page 1 level with them or ahead, you're already in Google's top 10, or neither of you ranks yet.
- Showing the N with the most searches: There are more keywords than the list shows; these are the most searched.
After you act
- A comparison only reads search data. Nothing changes on your website.
- Your comparisons stay on the page. Pick a competitor's name above the results to see that comparison again.

Questions
Can I compare my own website?
No. Name a competitor's website instead. TuBe shows where your site stands on every keyword anyway.
Which competitor should I name?
The business you lose customers to most often, or one that shows up above you on Google for your main service.
Why does it say there was nothing to compare against?
Search data had nothing to compare for that website this time. That can happen with new or very small sites. Try another competitor.
How is this different from gap analysis?
Here you pick the competitor. Gap analysis finds the competitors closest to your business for you and compares them all at once.
